The XB6 powered subwoofer features a large 12-inch Deep Channel woofer, BassTrac circuitry, and powerful amplifier in a vented enclosure. The XB6 has a FTC-rated 200-watt amplifier. The XB6 has a frequency response (+/-3dB) of 29Hz-150Hz respectively. The volume control is mounted on top of the cabinet, flush with the surface, so the top remains perfectly flat. Boston Acoustics' new XB Subwoofers offer a clean,contemporary style that is visually more compatible with modern interiors. New style elements include a lower,slightly wider footprint,gently rounded corners, metal grilles, and flush-mounted volume controls on top of the XB8,XB6,and XB4.All are available in black ash.All four are front-firing, front-ported, and very easy to install. The XB subwoofers are equipped with Deep ChannelTM woofers that deliver extended excursion with increased bass response, and Bostons exclusive BassTrac circuitry, designed to eliminate distortion. A 24dB/octave lowpass filter on each subwoofer prevents it from being easily localized by ear, increasing placement flexibility. Also provided are variable crossovers, phase controls, rear-panel line and speaker level inputs, and a crossover bypass function for Home Theater components that perform their own bass management.
